Are you planning a visit with an infant?

A short-term stay at altitudes above 2,500 m is generally possible for healthy children. However, parents should carefully consider a longer stay at high altitudes for very young infants. Factors to consider include their still-limited ability to regulate body temperature, the risk of rapid dehydration, and increased exposure to solar and high-altitude radiation.
Since infants cannot yet express any discomfort caused by altitude and symptoms are difficult to interpret, parents should be particularly vigilant and make a responsible decision as to whether a stay at high altitudes is suitable for their child.

Traveling with your dog?

Please note: We can only transport your dog on the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car if it is on a leash and wearing a muzzle. You do not need to reserve a specific seat for your dog, but you do need a separate dog ticket for the ascent and descent. Tip: You can purchase a muzzle at the ticket office for €9.50.
