After riding up on the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car, you’ll have time to explore the attractions on the Dachstein and enjoy the panoramic views. As the sun slowly disappears behind the mountain peaks and the landscape is bathed in warm evening light, an unforgettable moment of indulgence begins. At the Dachstein Glacier Restaurant, a fondue on the Dachstein Glacier awaits you, complete with a salad buffet and live music —the perfect way to round off a special day.

Important Information Regarding the
Reservation
Participation is only possible with a prior online reservation. Since space is limited , we recommend making your reservation early.
- Please book only one appointment. Multiple reservations will be canceled without exception.
Please cancel your booking in a timely manner if you are unable to attend!
Cancellations are free of charge up toone day before the scheduled appointment.
- For cancellations made later than that, 50% of the booking price will be charged .
- If you do not show up without prior cancellation, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
Your Evening at the Dachstein
Good to Know
- The number of participants is limited for our special tours .
- Table reservations are not available. However, tables will be assigned for groups of eight or more.
- Important note: The Schladming-Dachstein Card is not valid for the sunrise breakfast or the sunset tours.
- When dining, you can choose from several options and let us know about any special requests. These must be coordinated with the restaurant team in advance. We’d be happy to assist you at +43 3687 22042 820.
Note regarding inclement weather:
The sunrise and sunset packages generally take place regardless of the weather. They will only be canceled in the event of extreme weather conditions that prevent the safe operation of the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car.
Even with limited visibility, the experience is well worth it: Many guests visit the Ice Palace, or take a stroll across the suspension bridge and enjoy the eventing at the Dachstein Glacier Restaurant.
Here's what your fondue night on the Dachstein could look like
Ascent via the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car
The cable car runs until 6:00 p.m. at the latest inSeptember and until 5:30 p.m. at the latest in October . We recommend that you take the cable car up by 5:00 p.m.
This will give you plenty of time to visit the open attractions on the Dachstein Glacier and enjoy the panoramic views .
Visiting the Attractions
You’ll haveuntil 7:00 PM in September or until 6:30 PM in October to explore the open attractions on the Dachstein Glacier.Afterward, head to the Dachstein Glacier Restaurant.
Sunset and Fondue
Experience the sunset on the Dachstein from the terrace of the Dachstein Glacier Restaurant and enjoy the special evening atmosphere with musical entertainment.
Afterward, a cozy sunset fondue awaits you at the Dachstein Glacier Restaurant.
Descent with the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car
The following times are available for the descent via the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car:
