Unique Views and Perspectives

The Sky Walk is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Alps. Right next to the Dachstein mountain station, a glass platform juts out over the Hunerkogel’s 250-meter-high vertical cliff face, offering unique views both down into the depths and out into the distance.

This sensational viewing platform in Styria offers an impressive panorama across the rugged cliffs of the Dachstein, stretching far into the Enns Valley and toward the peaks of the Alps. On cloudless days, you can enjoy a view all the way to Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

When you step onto the Sky Walk on the Dachstein, you might feel a slight tingle at first. But after just a few steps, that feeling gives way to fascination. The massive steel structure was designed to meet the highest safety standards and can withstand even extreme weather conditions. This allows you to enjoy the extraordinary views from the Dachstein with complete peace of mind.

A panorama that stays with you

At an elevation of about 2,700 meters above sea level , the Sky Walk offers an unforgettable view of the Dachstein South Face, the Enns Valley, and as far as Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

The combination of a suspended glass platform, an imposing rocky backdrop, and a sweeping Alpine panorama makes this one of the region’s most popular photo spots.

Photo tip: The best shots are taken in the morning or in the afternoon, when the light highlights the rock faces and the valley in a particularly striking way .
